Update 2018

Years of site degradation have eroded the banks of Clear creek to the point where infrastructure is about to fail. The downstream sediment deposit from the erosion has created changes in the stream geomorphology. The intent of the project was to place rip rap along the east stream bank of Clear Creek to stop the erosion. Rip rap was placed approximately 50 meters upstream and 50 meters downstream. A small concave weir was constructed to allow other sediment to settle out in the pond created and allows water that is leaving the weir to clean the stream bottom.
