Nechako River and Stuart Lake tributaries - year 2 sampling and eDNA success!Document:

We are pleased to share the results of the eDNA program that NEWSS is and has been a long-term supporter of.

The continued results not only encourage us that our stream restoration projects in the Nechako Valley are of value, but these results help us to determine future project priorities while painting a picture of the current use of tributaries to the Nechako and Stuart Rivers.

After two years of sampling, NEWSS can show that 11 of 15 streams continue to host 1 and 2 year-old Chinook fry.  This encourages us to continue to apply for funding and to support our SD 91 and UNBC partners, Barry Booth and the Koh Learning program as we look to sample all 32 streams that flow into the Nechako River.
