Clear Creek flows south into the Nechako River. It starts in Crown land (logged and unlogged areas) and crosses Highway 27 twice before flowing through the agricultural belt in Braeside. The creek is roughly 25 km long.
Background
Restoration work on Clear Creek began in roughly 2013 with the discovery of watercress near the Highway 27 crossing. Since then, work on salmon restoration using beaver dam analogues, and a large-scale collaboration with School District 91 has made Clear Creek an excellent and accessible example of in-stream habitat restoration works.
The image to the right shows the outdoor shed built to be used by students across SD91. The Martens - Clear Creek - Education Centre can be used year-round by classrooms for outdoor environmental learning.
Project List
NEWSS in conjunction with DFO and SCWF tagged and released 2000 total Chinook fry into Clear Creek and Knight Creek. Monitoring occurred in the fall to assess the number of salmonids still in the system.

The intent of the project was to place rip rap along the east stream bank of Clear Creek to stop the erosion.
At the southern crossing of Highway 27, there is a significant population of watercress (Nasturtium officinale).
